壯麗美景二本松解說站「丸田炮台」
丸田砲台遺址位在雪霸國家公園的雪見遊憩區內，日治時期此處建有砲台以監控居住在大安溪畔的北勢群泰雅原住民部落，因北勢戰役中殉職的日本警捕丸田清來命名「丸田炮台」。此處森林步道全長不到一公里，去程緩降，回程緩昇，全線幾乎都行走在海拔一千多公尺的桂竹林和香杉林內。
砲台遺址居高臨下，可俯瞰大安溪谷；「二本松解說站」的觀景台展望更佳，天氣好時，壯闊的大安溪谷、大克山、南三村部落，甚至士林壩等都一覽無遺。此外，途經的司馬限林道還能遠眺聖稜線與雪山西稜、欣賞美麗的雲海，也適合賞鳥或騎自行車，或是順登雪見地區最高的東洗水山（2248公尺），可說是一條兼具人文史蹟、部落文化、自然生態與景觀之美的步道。現場看的景色實在美如明信片，的確能讓人好好享受寧靜山林空間。
